Senior Marketing Officer

Kink in the Cable is a fast-growing startup and the company behind the dating platform BeeDee; the only dating app with official collaboration with the BDSMTest (.org)

Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Senior Marketing Officer at Kink in the Cable BV, the company behind the dating app BeeDee. The Marketing Officer will be responsible for the overall advertising and marketing strategy of BeeDee, as well as implementing the advertising strategy and parts of the marketing strategy. You'll work together with our Social Media Manager and our Marketing Advisor to get the word about BeeDee out there as loud as we can. This role has career potential to become Chief Marketing Officer.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of multiple ad platforms (Google, Meta, Snapchat, TikTok ...)
• Strong general knowledge about advertising
• Strong general knowledge about marketing
• Proven experience growing brands using marketing and online advertising
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• If based in Belgium: the ability to work 2 days per week from an office in Ghent, Belgium, or willingness to do so in the long term

• You're familiar with BeeDee's target audience (this is not a requirement but only a bonus)

Medior or Senior Backend Developer

Based in Ghent, Belgium

Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Medior or Senior Backend Developer at Kink in the Cable BV, the company behind the dating app BeeDee. The Backend Developer will be contributing in implementing and maintaining our API and server-side features, in a Java/CDK/AWS techsteck. Focus on the code being bug-free, performant and scalable is important. The Backend Developer will be guided by a experienced Senior Backend Developer and in the case of being Medior, have a clear growth path to becoming Senior over time.

Qualifications

• 4 years or more of experience in Java
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong talent for writing maintainable, scalable, performant code
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Experience with Git
• The ability to work 2 days per week from an office in Ghent, Belgium, or willingness to do so in the long term
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence and markdown

Bonus points (no strict requirement)

• Master's degree in Computer Science
• Experience with the AWS, Azure or GCP stack

Project Manager

Role Description

This is a full-time role for a project manager at Kink in the Cable BV. In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape our app. You will be jointly responsible for setting the priorities together with the CEO, you will follow up tasks with the engineering team, review and test their work and maintain the work log in Jira or similar tools. You will collaborate closely with our 2 frontend developers and 1 backend developer, and you will report directly into the CEO.

Qualifications

• A strong understanding of software projects
• Strong communication skills in at least English
• You can work with deadlines and are someone who creates order in chaos
• The ability to work 2 days per week from an office in Ghent, Belgium, or willingness to do so in the long term

Bonus points (no strict requirement)

• You've worked with Jira before
• Strong communication skills in Dutch
• Experience with software testing
